Stoicmode provides men with the tools and resources they need to achieve their goals, live a life of purpose, and thrive in every area of their lives.

CLIENT CHALLENGE

Stoicmode had the challenge of designing a productivity and wellness platform for men who want to achieve their goals and improve their mental health. The platform needed to be easy to use, visually engaging, and aligned with Stoicmode’s brand values. It also needed to help men track their progress and cultivate better habits they needed to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.

MY APPROACH

To meet this challenge, I began by conducting user research to understand the target audience. Based on my findings, I created user personas to represent different types of users and their needs. From there, I designed the user flow from account creation to logout and built prototypes. The next step was to develop a visual design system that reflected Stoicmode’s brand and helped the platform stand out in a crowded market.

Brand Tone

Stoicmode’s brand tone is confident, straightforward, and unapologetically masculine. It’s all about unlocking your inner Spartan and reaching your full potential through mental and physical discipline.

Strategic Planning

With a clear understanding of the audience and the brand, I developed a strategic plan for the platform. This plan included a series of modules for health, daily goals, and achievements that would allow users to track their progress and stay motivated. It also incorporated features like reminders, push notifications, and progress bars to help users stay on track and make progress towards their goals.
Meet John, a 32-year-old digital nomad who is always on the go. Using a new men’s mental health journal web app tool to have more efficient days and a better life.  John is highly motivated but struggles to stay focused and manage his stress levels. He’s interested in Stoicism and wants to incorporate its principles into his daily routine, but he’s not sure where to start. With Stoicmode’s platform, John can track his progress towards his daily goals, monitor his mental and physical health, and access resources that will help him stay focused and resilient.

Mobile Prototype

The mobile platform design included onboarding screens that introduced users to Stoicmode’s brand and functionality in a clear and engaging way. I also developed login and profile screens that were easy to use and visually pleasing. The health, daily goals, and achievements modules were designed to be highly interactive and visually engaging, with progress bars and other feedback mechanisms to keep users motivated.

Web Design

The web design was built with a mobile-first approach and focused on clean layouts, bold typography, and strong color contrasts. The design system incorporated imagery that reflected Stoicmode’s brand values. The end result was a platform that was both visually stunning and highly functional.

User Flow

The user flow for Stoicmode’s platform was designed to be intuitive and seamless. From the onboarding process to the daily goal tracking, everything was optimized for ease of use and clarity. The user flow was mapped out from start to logout, ensuring that every touchpoint was designed to keep users motivated and engaged.
